Fat transplantation

It is safe to say that we are experiencing the renaissance of adipose tissue implantation in the past few decades. The previous techniques used to transplant fat were not efficient, most of the newly implanted fat would get reabsorbed.

Today’s techniques allow us to transplant larger amounts of fat of which 50-70% does not get reabsorbed. Fat was used to fill wrinkles and enhance the lips earlier, but it is now also used to rejuvenate the face, to enhance the cheeks, to correct depressions and any other imperfections of the face and to elevate the cheeks and make the face rounder.

It can also be used to slightly augment the breasts, to correct surface depressions and to shape the calves.
